The Suga Bear Crafting Organization is a 501 (c)3 charitable organization that promotes mental health through the arts including, but not limited to creative arts, applied arts, graphic arts, performing arts, decorative arts, and culinary arts. We offer services and classes which will help you to improve your quality of life through creative means. Please check put what we do and feel free to ask questions, sign up for services and classes, as well as of course donate.
Many of our programs included elements of helping teens to learn job skills. Our event crafting department show them the ins and outs of planning a successful event. Our anime club teaches teens how to critique programming, write creatively, edit their writing, publish books, create costuming, learn Japanese, as well as how to sit back and enjoy the moment. Culinary arts classes teach teens and adults healthy eating, productive life skills, and advanced classes can help to prepare for jobs as cooks, caterers, bakers, etc.
On this site I also showcase my cosplay as well as cosplay items that I have for sale. My name is Erica, but you can call me Suga Bear! I hope to bring cosplay to more people of color as well as more of the plus size crowd. Everyone is welcome here except the negative folks. So if you’re ready for some fun, please continue!!!
A little bit about me:
I’ve been sewing since I was about 8 years old. My mom taught me how to sew. I did mostly prom dresses for a long time, then changed professions to therapy. I’ve been into cosplay for a long time, but never really did anything regularly. Now I’m getting back into my passion for sewing and costuming, so let’s have fun. I also have my MA in Clinical mental health counseling from Governors State University and am licensed as an LPC in the state of Illinois. I was recently ordained as a wedding officiant in the state of Illinois as well.
